It began in the hills of East Tennessee, and it blossomed from there. Lauren Ling whet her pallet for design when she accepted a work study position as graphic designer for her college newspaper, The Stampede. As an English major, she continued writing for The Stampede, and eventually became Editor in Chief. She then interned with the Overmountain Press in Johnson City, TN and found she enjoyed laying out books and designing covers more than she did copy editing. Soon after college, she was hired as an intern at Fusioncorp Design Creative Solutions in Lexington, KY, and began training under award-winning designers, Daniel Boone and Tim Raymer. Her first project was heading up the design for the 2012 Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and her last was to fully design and code a website from scratch.
Now, she is the graphic artist for The Giving Church, and owns her own freelance company, Pine Designs Tennessee. She lives in Nashville with her musician and photographer husband, Phil, and their two cats, Meowy and Sylvia.

Tim Cooper / Senior Project Manager at The Giving Church
I would highly recommend Pine Designs for anyone’s graphic and technical support needs. Using the talents of Pine Designs, we have launched a new website that keeps our clients updated and have taken our literature up to a more professional level. They also have designed our newsletters that have increased our donor support base and kept them informed about the events of our center. We have used the talents of Pine Designs for all of our print needs, such as invitations, rack cards, thank you notes, and a variety of other printed materials. Lauren is very prompt with our requests and I look forward to working with her in the future.
